[Patentcenter] MyUSPTO--Site can't be reached?

If this is only happening to one paralegal and not others, then the EBC is likely right that the issue is with her system. Is this paralegal in the same location as the others or a different location (e.g., working remotely)? If the paralegal with problems is in the same location as the others, then that narrows the problem to the paralegal's computer. If the paralegal is at a different location, the problem could be the paralegal's computer, the network where the paralegal is located (likely her home network), or the ISP.

The first thing to do is try Patent Center in a guest window of Chrome. A guest window has the settings in their default state and no extensions are running. If the paralegal still has problems, then the issue is not with Chrome or any settings or extensions installed in Chrome.

If it is not Chrome, then it's a matter of determining whether the problem is with her computer hardware, network, or ISP. Is the paralegal having problems accessing other Internet sites? It sounds like the issue is intermittent so the fact that google loads is probably not all that helpful. She will need to do some ping tests or something to see if it is dropping out periodically. There are a lot of things that could be causing problems (e.g., I could not stream to one TV; after a lot of testing I found that a device connected to the network switch the TV was connected to had malfunctioned and was sending so much junk traffic through the switch that the TV could not reliably connect).

Hello all,



One of our paralegals is constantly having access issues with MyUSPTO, whether going through MyUSPTO or going to Patent Center directly. This is happening in Chrome, despite her restarting the computer, clearing caches and cookies, etc. etc. This is a multiple times DAILY occurrence for this one paralegal, like Groundhog Day.



When she is finally able to access Patent Center and start uploading a filing, after clicking to go to the next screen, sometimes Patent Center drops off and the “can’t be reached” screen will reappear without saving any of her work up to that point. When she finally gets back in, she has to start all over again. When she called the EBC, they said that the issue is on our end; they can’t duplicate/replicate the issue; and they are not receiving similar complaints from anyone else.



This paralegal is wasting tons of time dealing with this. And we are having to have other paralegals do the uploads that this paralegal is unable to do. Has anyone in this group been able to successfully resolve this issue? And/or, providing this input for whoever is keeping track of these performance issues.
