[E-trademarks] selecting live/dead in search

And why “True”? A mark can be just as truly dead as truly live. If we are searching for what we use to call “Dead” marks only, what word do we use? “False”? “Not True”?

This is a small gripe among many more significant ones, but it’s driving me nuts that they changed the terminology for L/D searching that we all used for years and years. Why? Just to ensure that none of our intuitions would stay useful?

Yes, that worked for me today. It used to be LD:live that we sued for many years, I tried using it today and kept getting dead marks. I did eventually get to the manual to see that now for the reasons that escape me the field should be LD:true.

I believe that, since you are now using fields tags, you have to use LD:true instead of the checkboxes.

Thanks,
Jake

Using expert (for me, currently a misnomer) mode, I did a search for a field tag (CM) and one class. Once the results came up, I tried at that point to un-check dead marks but it's greyed out. So is that something that you have to do prior to hitting the search command icon? It seems to me that you should be able to look at all the results and THEN narrow them with the toggle switches.

I am so confused!!
