[E-trademarks] USPTO.GOV No Longer Accessible via VPN

Thanks Kevin. Per Tony’s suggestion, I’m asking the VPN provider for guidance and if the fix seems universal (assuming there is one), I’ll post.
I haven’t played with changing countries, but I hope it isn’t the case that the USPTO blocks US VPN access and allows non-US access. Maybe I should try accessing from China.

The PTO may be doing it intentionally to prevent people from spoofing whether they are logging in from. Netflix and other streaming services play this cat and mouse game with VPNs because they don’t want people to access materials only available in certain locations. You may be able to access it via a different VPN, or by changing the location setting on the VPN.

EXTERNAL EMAIL
Thanks Tony. Unless the setting reads “allow access to USPTO.GOV,” I’m going to need more guidance.

I have had the same problem. There was a setting on my VPN which corrected the problem. I suggest your check your VPN settings.

Good morning Listmates, and particularly Carl,
As of this week I am no longer able to even land on USPTO.GOV while using a VPN connection. I believe I’ve had situations in the past where I needed to turn the VPN off to say download something from one or more databases at the USPTO, but this new situation has me wondering how I’m going to manage my competing interests in maintaining private communications with clients via VPN vs regular access to the USPTO information and interfaces.
I guess I’m hoping there might be settings on the VPN and/or browser(s) that might still enable some USPTO access via VPN?
