[E-trademarks] Phishing scam using a misspelled version of my firm name/email address

Hi listserv friends,

Today I've received a number of calls and emails (and even a LinkedIn message) from other listserv members about a phishing scam impersonating my email address, encouraging recipients to open a link to a PandaDoc document.  The recipients seem to be trademark attorneys, and several have mentioned that they're members of the Oppedahl trademark listserv, which is causing me to reach out to everyone - do NOT open these documents.

The emails are coming from an email address that misspells my firm name as BrenanLawGroup (missing an n in my name). There seem to be two emails that are going out in tandem - one from PandaDoc.net (note the .net, not .com), and then a follow up email coming from the misspelled version of my firm name, both instructing the recipient to open an attached document. Clever ploy!

Two people mentioned to me that they responded to the email, requesting more information.  They received replies telling them it's not a scam, just open the document.  Haha.  Of course, I can't see who has received these emails, or any of the ensuing correspondence, since they are not coming from me, but from a misspelled version of my firm name.

Again, this is just to warn you not to open any of the attached links or documents.
