[E-trademarks] Might want to hold off on using OKTA to sign in to the USPTO

The new sign-in page offers the ability to sign-in using OKTA.  After first claiming that a security breach they discovered only affected about 1% of user accounts, they are now admitting that the hackers got pretty much everyone’s information: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/29/okta-hackers-stole-data-on-all-customer-support-users-company-says.html.  They claim that “customers in government or Department of Defense environments were not impacted,” but I’d say at this point their word is basically worthless.

@Pamela Chestek<mailto:pamela at chesteklegal.com> might want to update her brief.  Not only is the PTO not a reliable guardian of personal information, neither are its contractors.
