[E-trademarks] PTO glitching out on publication notices?

Kevin,

You’re not alone! 😊The USPTO switched to this double email notice at least several weeks ago without any explanation that I have been able to locate.  I too cannot figure out the point behind the simultaneous double email notice and find that it can cause unnecessary confusion.

USPTO lurkers - an explanation for the change in notification would be very helpful!  😊

I got both a  “Notification of Notice of Publication” and “Notice of Publication” for the same mark simultaneously today, which seems kind of pointless.  My recollection is that while both of these may appear as entries in TSDR (and on the same day), we usually only get one of them.
