30 days after the end of the grace period and the delay after the grace period is to account for the USPTO’s processing time of making sure if anything was filed on the last day that it gets to the file.

Hi all,

Does anyone know how long it typically takes the PTO to cancel a mark after it's been abandoned by failure to file a maintenance filing? And if there is any rhyme or reason to that timing? I've been trying to get a sense of it and it seems quite inconsistent.
