[E-trademarks] Recordal question

I think it's an entity conversion, based on these definitions from the Assignment Center:

Change of Name
The owner is the same entity but just has a different legal name.Ownership never changes since there is no transfer to another party. This conveyance type should not be used if a business changes its entity type (e.g., from a corporation to a limited liability company) or entity citizenship (e.g., from a New York corporation to a Delaware corporation); use "Entity Conversion" instead.
Entity Conversion
A business changes its entity type (e.g., from a corporation to a limited liability company) or entity citizenship (e.g., from a New York corporation to a Delaware corporation).

The Change of Name, according to this, should not be used.  It seems to be a change of entity citizenship.

A client, WY Corp was subsumed by a newly formed NV Public Benefit Corp. The tax ID (EIN) stayed the same, so it is legally the same entity.

I need to update the USPTO record with the new owner's name, but I am not clear whether this is considered a transfer, and if so, what kind, or if this is a name change?

In addition to helping name what the transaction is called, what supporting docs would you submit (understanding that none may be required, but wanting to have as clear and a complete chain of title as possible)?
