[E-trademarks] Justices Skip Review Of USPTO's TM Address Requirement

Thanks to all for your support on it. The unhappiest part of the outcome 
is not about the address requirement, but that the decision in the 
Federal Circuit, which relieved the PTO of its duty to comply with 
notice and comment rulemaking altogether, gives the PTO even more 
freedom to ignore its constituencies and do whatever it wants. So my 
effort appears to have been a significant net loss. Expect to see more 
capricious rule changes without even an opportunity to comment.

But I'm optimistic that the patent side will continue to fight the good 
fight - they are treated even more cavalierly than we are on the 
trademark side. Here's hoping that eventually this agency will realize 
that it will perform better if it works with us towards a common good, 
rather than solely pursuing its own self-interest using tunnel vision.
