Friends - We submitted an appeal to Instagram concerning a client’s account ban for alleged TM infringement. We followed the IG appeal route, but quickly received a generic response reciting Instagram’s TM policy ("As a user of Instagram, you have agreed to our Terms of Use….When we receive a proper claim…, we promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We also terminate the accounts of repeat infringers….”).

We followed the steps for filing an appeal, but since we received this auto-response without any further info, are curious if anyone has encountered a similar response and whether anything further is needed to appeal the account termination? You’re welcome to email me directly at tom at vanderbloemenlaw.com<mailto:tom at vanderbloemenlaw.com>.

Thanks,
Tom
