[E-trademarks] Trademark Search Hiccup - History must be between 1 - 2. If your search includes a number, use a field tag search or Basic mode

I tried to duplicate the search session performed by the examining attorney for 98704383, the standard character mark NASURE that registered today.

Here's the relevant search history as displayed by TSDR.

Here are the 3 searches as text. (Nothing too complicated.)

SN:98704383
CM:/.*n[a]+[szc]+[ou]+w*r+[e].*/ AND LD:true
2 AND IC:(001 a b 200) AND LD:true

The first and second searches both worked fine, with the second search returning 75 trademarks versus only 70 in the examiner's search session.  On the third search, I received the following error.

Huh?  The 2 is a back reference to the second search and is between 1 and 2.  The other numbers are 3-digit class numbers 001 and 200 in the IC search field.  Why would Trademark Search reject a search that the examining attorney performed on 3 March 2025, just a little over 4 months ago?

Also, I exported the search history, except since the 3rd search was rejected, only the first 2 searches were included in that search history file.

Well, that's the feedback to the USPTO that  I provided by the feedback feature of Trademark Search.  Just sharing my pain while I wait for their reply.

BTW, if I put quotes around the class numbers of the third search, as in

2 AND IC:("001" a b "200") AND LD:true

the search completes, returning 8 trademarks (just like the examining attorney's search), except that's my point - - that the raw search performed successfully by the examining attorney fails for external users like us — that we have to perform additional edits to the examiner's search to get Trademark Search to execute the search.
