Oh, but the Supreme Court has used “trademarked,” too!  Most recently in Dewberry Group, Inc. v. Dewberry Engineers Inc. earlier this year as an adjective: “Dewberry Group had encountered ‘numerous red flags alerting it to the illegality of its conduct,’ yet continued to use the trademarked name.”  And in Vidal v. Elster last year as a verb: “And the other authorities either expressly recognized that the names of famous living persons could be trademarked…”

Hi Rafa, 

No, Uber was not one of the answers.  The theme was “That’s Proprietary!” and yes, the answers were all marks that are often treated like generic terms.  So kudos to the puzzle creator for highlighting that issue – just wish they hadn’t made the main word as “Trademarked.”
