[E-trademarks] Strategy for Japanese logo

Hi, a client with a word mark registration wants to apply for a logo
containing equivalent Japanese characters. They've asked if they need a
separate English logo application. I'll advise yes only if they want
maximum protection and plan to use both versions commercially; otherwise, I
don't see the need, especially given their word mark registration. Is there
anything I'm missing?
