[Patentcenter] venting about Patent Center

You are right that I shouldn't need an auxiliary PDF in this case, but I
filed one for a couple of reasons:

(1) Although I would hope that the USPTO has safeguards in place to prevent
DOCX files from being modified, who knows? If someone along the line were
to delete the IBR paragraph from the DOCX file, whether accidentally or
intentionally, I would be able to rely on the auxiliary PDF to prove the
IBR statement was there on the filing date.

(2) I have made it a policy never to file DOCX without an accompanying
auxiliary PDF file. I like having processes in place whereby I always do
the same thing the same way, because I believe it reduces the likelihood of
errors. Having to file DOCX for clients who insist on it already required
development of a new filing checklist, and I don't want to have variants of
that checklist in play.

As you can tell, I'm a fan of belts and suspenders.

Best regards,
Krista
