[Patentpractice] Any word on when the USPTO will stop sending a presentation copy of issued patents?

Unfortunately, I cannot locate the message that I thought indicated that the USPTO would stop sending ceremonial copies of issued patents in June. I cannot find anything in USPTO communications that provides any information as to the projected end date of the interim period.

We just received another “free” ceremonial copy today.  I wish it would end.

 

Besides the cost of printing these and stuffing the envelopes, etc., it cost the USPTO  >$ 2 in postage (it was a thin patent).  This is a cost-cutting measure I would endorse.

I recall seeing a message indicating that 6/25 would be the last day that free ceremonial printed copies were to be mailed. Which means those in Georgia may or may not ever see them due to the USPS.
