[Patentpractice] Assignment Center - can you save progress part way through? No

Just did my first assignment submission in the new system. Apart from all
the other problems that people have mentioned (e.g. it doesn't recognize
PCTs filed at other ROs. Seriously?), I just love this caveat that it puts
at the end when you go to submit:

"The USPTO reserves the right, at its complete discretion, to change the
terms, conditions, and use at any time by posting revised terms,
conditions, and use restrictions for this system."

Right. Because the APA, PWRA, and various executive orders don't apply to
the USPTO.

Also, if they could implement drag-and-drop in Patent Crapper, why couldn't
they implement it in the assignments thing?

The document I submitted was e-signed by the assignor. When it made me do
the "review document", what popped up showed the metadata for the pdf file,
including when the inventor signed it. Fine with me, actually works to our
benefit in this case as a hedge against challengers, but I can envision
situations in which I wouldn't want that data there, so beware - you may
want to scrub your assignment documents of metadata before submitting.
