1. Assignment Center does not accept an XML file with recordation details, as ePAS did. This is an important omission, because docketing software can generate the XML file quickly and without human error, whereas manually entering bibliographic information in Assignment Center (even copying and pasting) wastes a lot of time and can introduce human error.
2. The “Stored contact information” pull-down (“Select one”) in Assignment Center does not work.
Best regards,
George

Subject: [Patentpractice] Let's try to collect all of our Assignment Center bugs
I imagine some may have read my blog article from yesterday entitled USPTO fails to let me know that it fixed a defect that I reported in Assignment Center<https://blog.oppedahl.com/uspto-fails-to-let-me-know-that-it-fixed-a-defect-that-i-reported-in-assignment-center/>.
I am not exactly sure whether yesterday's blog post had anything to do with it, but just now a phone call came in from a person who answers to Joyce R. Johnson, who is the manager of the Assignment Branch. He has offered to spend some time with me reviewing the various defects in Assignment Center.
This strikes me as a perfect time to try to collect in one place all of our Assignment Center bugs.
I guess maybe post them to this listserv, and I will try as best I can to collect them for the discussion with this fellow.
Oh and I guess the other thing is, it would be good to get at least one more person from the patent community involved in the discussion, for a lot of reasons. Volunteers welcome.
Carl
