[Patentpractice] USPTO launches new AI Pilot for pre-examination utility application search

Suzannah - Generally, brilliant!
Why charge a fee?  AI searches and automated reporting via email of ASRN's
costs virtually nothing.  No basis for a government fee other than
profiteering.
Wy wait 6 months?   AI searches and automated reporting via email of ASRN's
takes minimal time and as soon as a provisional application in a form
interpretable by the PTO servers is on file.  Normally, within a few
minutes of filing.
