Thanks for all for your responses, and sorry for inadvertently becoming part of this misunderstanding. I met Ben through this list and have subsequently had the opportunity to engage with him on a professional level off-list as well. Suffice it to say I only have positive things to say, and people like Ben make the community of patent practitioners a better group. I can say the same about others I have met through other lists run by Carl. This launchpad for offline interaction is another one of the benefits of this excellent service hosted and organized by Carl!
Carl- Thank you again for what you do and have done for the IP law community!

I apparently misunderstood an earlier communication from a fellow listserv member. I have reinstated Mr. Keim on the listserv.

The first email in this chain (not from Ben) asked for "recommendations for AI patent portfolio evaluation tools."
Ben replied by listing a tool provided by Tangible IP. I cannot find any connection between Ben and the company he recommended.
Ben is a patent attorney with Newport IP (Our Professionals - Newport IP Law Firm<https://newportip.com/professionals>) and has posted many times on the listserve. For example, on 20 Oct 2025 he posted the following:
I just heard from a SPE that:
Acting Commissioner Valencia Martin Wallace sent out instructions today to the examiners that they are required to conduct interviews when they are requested by the applicant in order to further prosecution. Hopefully, you and all other practitioners don't experience a detrimental impact.

I think you have misjudged Ben and should reinstate him as a member of the listserve.
And, for the record, I do not know Ben other than his posts on the listserve. I just feel like he is being unfairly maligned.

Thank you Suzannah for drawing this to my attention.
Mr. Keim has been unsubscribed from the Patent Practice listserv, and has been banned from resubscribing.

I will make it a point to avoid engaging the services of anyone else who does…

The people at Tangible IP have the following to say about one AI tool.
AI Tools: The One We Prefer
Like most of you, we’ve been inundated with demos from various patent analytics and evidence of use search platforms that claim to replace seasoned analysts. While none truly eliminate the need for human expertise, we found that Limestone|Report stands out as the most practical solution we’ve encountered, at a price most can afford.
What sets Limestone|Report apart is its ability to provide a comprehensive view of portfolio pedigree while effectively identifying potential infringers. The platform delivers near real-time, actionable insights across Enforceability, Infringement, and Economics for portfolios of any size – capabilities that have proven invaluable in our day-to-day practice.
We’ve been so impressed with the results that we’re now incorporating Limestone|Report into all our represented portfolios.
What about you? Well, our good friends at Techson IP have agreed to extend special pricing to our readers so that you can try it for yourself. You will receive a 20% discount off their standard pricing on your first project through 12/31/2025 * if you use this link<https://www.techsonip.com/tangibleip>.

Greetings all,
I was asked by a client with a reasonably sized patent portfolio about AI tools for patent portfolio valuation. I have never used such tools, but I was able to identify several via a Google search. Does anyone have experience with any of the following:
• PricePatent
• Patentelligence
• Toolip Valuation
• XLSCOUT
• Patlytics
• Orbit Intelligence
or have other recommendations for AI patent portfolio evaluation tools?
Thanks in advance for your input!
Best,
Umair
