[Patentpractice] USPTO wasting our time with stupid notices

Suzannah, why do you mock the people at the USPTO for sending these notices?
I was *losing sleep*, wondering where the ceremonial copies of the patents
are.
I was worrying about how to tell the clients that I don't yet have their
ceremonial copies. Sure, it's not my fault, but do they care? They want
those ceremonial copies!
But now I point to these notices, legitimately blame the PTO, and sleep
soundly at night.
And we can all bill our clients for docketing these notices, they don't
care how much we charge, right?

What I really wonder, though, is in what ceremony are these copies meant to
be employed?
Weddings?
Bar mitzvahs?
Communion?
Cotillion?
Homecoming?
Rain dances?
