[E-trademarks] Determining whether to protect a trademark for goods vs. services

Dear Colleagues,

We have a client who resells the goods of a seltzer manufacturer on
Amazon.com. The client bundles the seltzer manufacturer's goods and marks
the bundle with the client's trademark with the permission of the seltzer
manufacturer. However, both the client's mark and the seltzer
manufacturer's mark appear on the bundle of goods.

Would an application for the client’s mark include a description of goods
(e.g., seltzer water or boxes containing seltzer water), or instead, should
it include a recitation of services (e.g., reseller services)? Thank you
in advance.

Adam
