[E-trademarks] Trademark assignment form in Assignment Center

Is providing the receiving party's email address a new requirement?  I don't remember having to provide that the last time I filed a trademark application.  Above the box it says, "Adding an email address is very helpful," but is now mandatory before moving to the next page.
