[Patentcenter] Jumping to front page & cannot pay

I have been saving the fleeting error notices (like “Cart with id…” mentioned below), persistent error notices (like Error 500), and URLs when PC hangs (like “connecting to instana-eum-lab.etc.upsto.gov”), hours of delay between new app submittal and app numbers being available for in assignment database, etc. (I don’t report them anymore to PTO because it’s redundant.)

 

These data points mean something to someone and if we can find that someone we can figure out what’s wrong and maybe get it fixed. I say “it” because they all seem generally related to a single type of problem of bad handoffs between systems.

 

Are any of you well-enough versed in software to make sense of these data points? If not, do you know someone who is? I’d be willing to spend some money to get expert advice – since I’m indirectly spending so much money already wasting time with all these speed bumps.

Today was another joyous day of using PatentCenter.

 

I was submitting a correction of inventorship and after downloading the documents prior to submission -- because preview still doesn't work & shows only blank pages -- PatentCenter jumped to its front page. I went back to my WorkBench and re-signed & got to the same page before submission.  It happened again.

 

This time, I clicked the back arrow on the browser, and it took me back to the submission page. Silly me, I downloaded again & lost my page again.

 

I finally managed to submit on my third try, and when I clicked the Pay button, it hung with a helpful note, in red: Cart with id 1cbd79c3-4587-442a-a2c8-fe163e39782d doesn't belong to anonymous user

 

I do seem to see this notice when I click submit pretty regularly, but most of the time it is just for a second before it continues to the payment page. It's been hung there for 10 minutes, though. I'm about to give up & try to pay without submitting anything. 

 

Trying to decide whether "PatentCenter's IT department sucks" needs to become a separate billing item.
