[Patentcenter] Ordering Certified Assignments

Yes, I had 3 orders for certified assignments cancelled and refunded. The last time it was cancelled they sent a letter saying:

“We regret to inform you that your order #XXXXXXXX has been canceled due to Patent Assignment not available at this time.  We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
You will receive a full refund within 3-5 business days.  In addition, if you have a Foreign Filing deadline within 30 days, please submit your document along with your order number if applicable to our DSD at uspto.gov<mailto:DSD at uspto.gov> mailbox.

I was unsure what the “document” was they wanted me to submit, but after a call, I found that they want a letter from the foreign agent (on their letterhead) with the deadline for submitting the certified assignment(s). I sent an email to DSD at uspto.gov<mailto:DSD at uspto.gov> 30 days before the deadline, with the letter, my three cancelled order numbers along with what assignments I needed. I sent a reminder the following week as my original email was not acknowledged and was told they were working on it. Repeated this process the following week and told the same thing, but later that same day I was advised “the assignments that were escalated are ready to be placed as an order on the Certified Copy Center” and once the order was placed to send them a copy of my receipt.

We received the certified copies 3 days later via UPS.

Anyone else having issues with filed Assignments not coming up in the new Assignment Search even though you have the Notice of Recordation?

I’ve been trying to order some certified copies for months and even though we got the Notices of Recordation in August, they’re still not coming up in the search.

I called about it in early September and was given  line about “oh, it just takes time after the assignment is recorded….”.
