The notice identifies Mr. Polutta and Mr. Stclair as the people who will
answer questions about this data leak.  So I realized I need to ask them
about it.  Here is the email that I sent to them today.

Who would like to make book on how promptly they will get back to me on
this?

Hello Mr. Polutta and Mr. Stclair.   Your Notice dated April 27 raises
many questions.

How did you pick the list of recipients for your Notice?

I imagine that the way you picked this list was by identifying all of
the patent applications for which a document got recorded in Assignment
Center between February 5, 2024 and March 29, 2024. Is that how you
picked this list?   And then you sent the Notice to the point of contact
for each of those patent applications? Can you confirm this?

When you were getting ready to send the Notice to the points-of-contact
identified above, did you cross-check to see if the person who did the
Assignment Center recordation was the same person who filed the patent
application in the first place?  My best guess is that you did not carry
out such a cross-check.  Can you confirm this?

What about the cases where somebody was using Assignment Center between
February 5, 2024 and March 29, 2024, and typed in a particular
application number, and saw the invention title, and then did not click
"submit"?  Did you send the Notice to the point of contact for those
application numbers?  My best guess is that the USPTO never logged such
instances, meaning that no Notice got sent to points of contact for such
application numbers.  I hope to get a clear yes-or-no answer from you on
this.

As you may imagine, patent practitioners need to know the answers to
these questions so that we may communicate appropriately with all
affected clients, not merely the clients for which you sent out this
Notice.  I hope I may hear back from you very promptly.
