I interrupt and tell them that I am not interested and politely thank them for the call and hang up.  I don't think that is any ruder than an unsolicited phone call.

When receiving a cold call by some vendor who is in the process of giving their 10+ minute spew (without pausing for a breath) of the IP services they provide, e.g., docketing, processing, drawings... yada yada yada...

Do you think it is rude to interrupt and simply tell them you are not interested... and when they jump right back into their 10+ minute spew again... to interrupt again and tell them you are not interested?
And, do you care if you are rude when you do it?

When we bill by the hour and time is so precious to us... and one little interruption that lasts a minute or so actually results in a disruption of at least 15 minutes for one's brain to get back to doing what it was doing...

I interrupt the spew and tell them I'm not interested and when they insist, I more assertively tell them I am not interested... and I've had a few where they still insist, so I've hung up on them.

Then I briefly feel bad for being rude... but again... When we bill by the hour and time is so precious to us... and one little interruption that lasts a minute or so actually results in a disruption of at least 15 minutes for one's brain to get back to doing what it was doing...

Wondering what others do/think...
