Has anyone seen any indication when “ceremonial copies will be available for purchase for a nominal fee” ?

Best regards,

John

Yep, I just received another one earlier this week.

I have a pile of them about 4 feet thick…

I told my clients I wasn’t going to send the ceremonial copies unless they specifically asked for them (because of the extra costs in service and courier fees)… I also told them that I would throw them away after X amount of time.

Problem is that I feel like the moment I trash them, some client is going to ask for them… and so here I am with this ridiculous growing pile of stupidity that I don’t know what to do with…

I’ve been thinking that once the USPTO stops sending the ceremonial copies, I am then going to send big “gift” boxes to the clients with all their ceremonial copies that I have been collecting…

It’s sort of like Amazon boxes… very hard to throw away a perfectly good box that I’m never going to use… but just in case I might need a box of a given size… <sigh>

Or is it purely electronic now?

I wish they'd make it a check box -- some clients REALLY want the paper copy with the red and gold ribbon. For some it's a nuisance that they affirmatively do NOT want. I wish the PTO had asked us...
